This cake has more chocolate than all it's other ingredients combined. 650g of Chocolate
make this one rich cake, not for the person on a diet. Served with a scoop of ice-cream, this
cake is delicious.

Ingredients:
185 g butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
400 g Cooking Chocolate
1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
2 Tbsp Baking Cocoa
1/2 cup milk
Filling
50 g Cooking Chocolate
1/2 cup cream
Icing
200 g Cooking Chocolate
200 g butter, melted
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy, beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in cooled, Dark Cooking Chocolate.
- Fold in sifted flour and Baking Cocoa alternately with milk. Spoon mixture into greased 20cm deep, round cake pan.
Filling
- Bake for 45 - 50 minutes until cooked. Remove from pan, cool on wire rack.
- Melt and cool 50g of the extra Dark Cooking Chocolate, combine with cream, beat until thick. Cut cake in half, sandwich cake with chocolate cream.
Icing
- Melt together remaining Dark Cooking Chocolate and butter, allow to cool, refrigerate until mixture is of spreading consistency, spread over cake.
- Decorate with bicuits, if desired.
